7-23-2021 – Wolf Creek WWTP experienced a complete power loss during a thunderstorm on July 23, 2021. The automatic transfer switch did not engage. Therefore, the standby generator was not called to run. Partially treated effluent bypassed the final UV disinfection due to the power loss. This resulted in the SSO at the manhole just south of the UV system.
