While still assessing the damage to its electrical system, RU crews are beginning to restore power to over 46,000 meters that are currently without power, due to Hurricane Sally. The outages occurred throughout the night as Hurricane Sally made landfall.
According to weather forecasts, Hurricane Sally made landfall as a Category 2 hurricane early Wednesday morning bringing with it high winds and extreme flooding throughout the region.
We understand this is difficult, and we’re doing everything we can to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. Crews will continue their restoration efforts as long as conditions are safe.
